The easy access is such a handy tool for me. If I’m not sure if I’ve locked my car, I checked and it let me know if it’s unlocked. I can then lock it remotely. If the weather is too hot and it has been lately, I can remotely come into a cool car. It tells me many other things, such as how much gasoline and other things I need to know about. But my favorite things are the climate control in the lock.

Functionality is not great. Remote commands routinely do not go through if if the car is parked outside the house where I know I have good WiFi and cell coverage. The location and take picture of surrounded work maybe 15% of the time and that may be generous! Entire interface and reliability /functionality of the app and interface with the vehicle needs improvement!

This app only works about 20% of the time. It almost never unlocks the car as I walk up to it and it takes about 10 to 15 seconds for any command to actually initiate. I’ve been in quite a few situations where this is incredibly dangerous. As I drive across the desert and have my dogs in the car with the AC on the car does not unlock when I tell it to unlock if something were to happen this could be seriously bad.

I bought a preowned Kia EV6, and have had it for three weeks or so now. Don't get me wrong—I absolutely love the car, the car is great. But this Kia Access app, and the Kia Connect process, has utterly failed me. I've called Kia Support several times, I sent them a copy of my car's purchase order, deleted and reloaded this app—and still, the prior owner has control of that account. I mean, come on Kia—don't all vehicles get re-sold at some point? Why is this process so manual and error-prone? Where is the support for people who are buying your product in good faith?

It’s a great app, and I love that it reminds me if I leave a door open. It also has excellent features for checking the status of my car, which I find very useful. However, I’m disappointed that so many of the features require a paid membership. It would be nice if more of the basic functions were available without an additional subscription.

After many times of deleting and redownloading this app, resetting my phone, making sure my phone itself was up to date with software, this app is still having issues with loading without crashing before I can even attempt to sign in… don’t know on which end of this needs to be fixed but it sure does suck not being able to start my car with my phone to get it cooled down in this heat. It’s worked greatly in the past but in the past week or so it’s been having this issue. Please look into it.

Went on a trip and locked the key in the vehicle, after 1 week I could not unlock the car with the app received “error code 900”, help center could not unlock remotely received the same code. Thank goodness I have great neighbours they brought extra key to me to unlock the car. I wish I was made aware that this would happen!

Hello all ; I was sooo excited when my wife got me a Kia k-5 GT for my birthday in July 2025 🤩 remind you I only had it almost a year come(July) but on June 10th (Wednesday)as I was dropping off my grandbabies my whole dash board just shut down/black screen 👀. I’m freaking out 🙏🏾 So the next day I called Kia with my issue. So I got an appointment for that Monday June 15th 2026. @1:30pm Unfortunately I had to have it picked up on that Saturday (June 12th) it clam to be (3) things wirering harness / battery cell dead 💀 radio something part to it’s in the shop👀 just now getting it back today July 23,2026 @11ish. Had to go back to Kia across the streets of the rental car that tried to charge me ($71) of car rental should’ve been back on the 21st for return 👀👀👀🤣😂🤣 but I got my car finally and now just praying nothing else happens in Jesus name I pray 🙏🏾 be blessed 😇

This app continuously show an alert for low tire pressure when there is absolutely nothing’s wrong with the tires. I called customer service to resolve the issue and they had no idea how to clear the alert. They just told me to drive the vehicle and the false alert would clear itself. That is not the case. The alert persists. I cannot trust this app to provide reliable vehicle information rendering it essentially useless.

There is not one thing in this app that works well. It’s hard to set up, hard to use remote features, and impossible to trip plan or find charging stations that will actually accept charge pass. I’ve had it take me to stations not in the network and misquoting prices.
And once your trial is over it costs $200 a year to remotely lock your car. It’s impossible to find info online about it either.

I love the app and its convenience when it works as it should, but often I’ll get errors or it will say no car found. I pay too much for that to happen. Also with the recent updates there is a gas gauge right in the middle of the home screen and it always says 0%, making it look like I have no gas. Once I click on it then it shows me the correct amount and mileage left, but it’s frustrating to have a big incorrect 0% stating at me every time in the app.

The app is super convenient and great for tracking your car's status. The only issue is the payment system. The finance button sends you to the wrong webpage, and then you have to log in again because even through the app the browser doesn't retain the information. I don't see why there's a finance section of the app if you can't use it to pay. Even the balance remaining takes a while to update.

One significant security issue. I installed the app so that I could move my son's car out of the way to get out of the garage when I want. I can't open the app anymore because when I use finger print biometric auth it then pops up with wanting to 2-factor using my son's email or sms. Ok, fine. Makes sense. But from a security stand point, when the notification pops up that the kia is in range, I can unlock doors and everything. That shouldn't happen if my token isn't good for opening the app.

But the time it keeps the AC on is limited to 10 minutes at the most. This is infuriating to me. I can't ever get a photo of the surroundings, and it doesnt always connect to unlock/lock the doors. I've been stranded because I left the car running with the keys in it (it was 100+ degrees that day) and locked it with the app. Then maybe 5 min later, I couldn't get it unlocked with the app and my son had to bring me my spare set from the house. Nothing like my husband's Ford app. The Kia app needs some serious updating and fixing. Oh, and the car should run for longer than 10 min at a time!

Logging into the app can be challenging, especially if you have poor internet signal - which can be frustrating if you are using the vehicle access features. Navigating the app is not very intuitive so finding features can be difficult, and some of the Connect capabilities only exist on the automobile, even though you may assume that you could find them in the app.

I lock my car and then find out the app wasn't working and the car is unlocked. which doesn't make sense cause when I unlock the car with the fob it will lock right before I get to the car. the app doesn't sync to well with the key fob and the car very well. sometimes you'll lock the car after unloading groceries but the system sends left a car unlocked notice. go back and the cars unlocked. the whole thing is annoying.

The app isn't very reliable. I have a 2026 Kia Seltos. The app Often says car is off, when it is in fact on. Will say doors are unlocked, when they are very much locked. Will almost always give me a door is open warning when I try to lock the doors with the app. Really disappointed in the app. Makes me wonder how accurate the other functions of the app are, like the tire pressure readings.

Edit: Problem below is solved, but the app is not strong. Widgets nowhere near as good as Hyundai Bluelink. ------ Getting bombarded with notifications that my doors are unlocked. My doors are locked and I've supposedly turned off push notifications for doors but I still am getting them. Calling the support line (listed on the comments from Kia here as recently as 10/9) goes to a "call cannot be completed" message.
